I’ve been having this feeling that beauty standards are shifting…

At one point, we used filters because our imperfections were embarrassing.

We saw photoshopped models and thought, “yes. This is what we’re supposed to look like.”

But things have changed. I can feel it. Do you?

Every day, people will start posting filterless more and more.

The real skin texture, the depth, the dimension… THE SOUL: None of these can be replicated when you “smooth out” a photo.

Even my fave artistic filters are still supposed to invoke a *dream-like quality.*

But when the standard for attractiveness becomes REALITY rather than animation, why would we still post filter-fied?
