That’s how I feel knowing that I’m gathering and hosting, rather than scattering and dispelling. Have you noticed that social media tends to drain energy rather than restore? Even if it temporarily boosts energy, it tends to zap it even *quicker* because it trains your brain to get used to ~~external validation.~~

Just try to ponder Hemingway hunched over his desk, pumping out the Great American Novel, and instead of pouring out volumes of work unscathed, there’s a crowd of people jeering behind his shoulder: “Yeah, you’ve written better. Take out this section. I disagree. You’re cancelled.”
